Someone has half a billion reasons to jump for joy in California — as a winning ticket to Tuesday night’s $522 million Mega Millions drawing was reportedly sold in a San Jose liquor store.
It was not clear immediately if the lucky ticket was the only one sold with the winning numbers of 1, 2, 4, 19, 29 and the Mega Ball of 20, according to NBC News.
The results of other states, including New York, were not yet available.
The ticket, which was sold at Ernie’s Liquors on South White Road, in the California city had a 1-in-302.6 million chance of winning.
The biggest Mega Millions prize ever won was $656 million, which was split three ways in 2012.
