Tomi Lahren, a host on the subscription streaming service Fox Nation, clearly relishes how some of her more extreme views send the political left into meltdown mode, but on Wednesday night, while furiously live-tweeting the Democratic debate, she even drew public condemnation from fellow Fox FOX, -0.03% FOXA, -0.21% personalities.
It all started when Lahren tweeted: “Kamala, did you fight for ideals or did you sleep your way to the top with Willie Brown?” — referring to a relationship Sen. Kamala Harris once had with the former San Francisco mayor and longtime California power broker.
Fox News contributor Kat Timpf fired back:
I am curious to know what you think bringing a woman’s personal/sexual life into this accomplishes. Men do that to us enough as it is. I’m honestly asking. https://t.co/MgO0yMrAHT

So did Britt McHenry:
Do you have any idea how damaging this is to women who’ve actually been sexually harassed, assaulted or demeaned in the workplace? How much this weakens our own gender, regardless of partisanship. My goodness.

Instead of immediately backing down, Lahren took it up a notch:
Ask Willie Brown how Kamala became AG of CA...

Eventually, the heat apparently got to be too much even for Lahren, who, by Thursday morning, had taken to Twitter TWTR, +1.54% to apologize:
I apologize for my comment on Kamala’s personal relationship. It was the wrong choice of words. There are many other things to take her to task for and I will stick to those.

Now that that’s over, she can get back to tweeting stuff she is less likely to issue apologies for. For instance, this:
If you traipse your kid 2,000 miles in dangerous conditions you're not only a criminal, you're a shitty parent.
