The baby is due in the spring, Kensington Palace announced on Twitter, as the couple kicked off a 16-day tour of Australia, Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga and New Zealand.

U.S.-born Markle, who married the 34-year old Prince Harry in a lavish ceremony in May, turned 37 in August. As Harry is sixth in line to the throne, their baby would be seventh. Speculation over the pregnancy grew after she made a public appearance in Sydney holding two folders over her stomach.
