Attorney Jay Sekulow on Sunday became the latest member of Team Trump to put a unique and bewildering spin on the concept of facts. Think of it as a twist to Kellyanne Conway’s infamous “alternate facts” head-scratcher.
‘Over time, facts develop.’That’s how Sekulow responded to ABC’s George Stephanopoulos when asked for an explanation as to why he’s changed his story so often about what President Trump knew in regards to the 2016 Trump Tower meeting.
Previously, Sekulow denied that Trump had anything to do with crafting Don Jr.’s response to reports about the president’s involvement sitdown with the Russians, which would later prove to be untrue. So Stephanopoulos called him out on it.
Sekulow said he had “bad information” at the time and made a mistake, and that, yes, “over time, facts develop. That’s what investigations do.”
