Fox News host Chris Wallace might be the recipient of a Trump tweet soon.
And not the fawning kind of social-media caress the president usually reserves for the shining and supportive stars in the Fox News prime-time universe.
Why? Here’s what Wallace had to say about the network’s opinion-based coverage of Robert Mueller’s letter to Attorney General William Barr:
‘I know there are some people who don’t think this March 27 letter is a big deal. Some opinion people, some opinion people who appear on this network, who may be pushing a political agenda. But, you know, we have to deal in facts.’
Wallace explained that other hosts haven’t given proper, unbiased attention to the story, and that the fact is Mueller was “very upset” with how Barr initially characterized the investigation’s findings.
“Again, those aren’t opinions, that is not a political agenda, those are the facts,” Wallace continued in his appearance on a Shepard Smith Reporting segment Wednesday.
He didn’t mention any names specifically, but he didn’t have to. Wallace was clearly referring to Laura Ingraham, who had called him out earlier that day.
“I know Chris Wallace... was indicating, I guess, that he kind of agrees with these other cable networks that this was an attempt by the DOJ to spin what the conversation was between Barr and Mueller,” Ingraham said, adding that she doesn’t if he “has information that I don’t have, but that he is saying that Barr is perpetuating a lie about this conversation between him and Mueller?”

Ingraham wasn’t the only one caught-up in the office spat. Mark Levin, host of Fox’s “Life, Liberty & Levin,” also fired a Twitter zinger in Wallace’s direction.
“Actually, you make no sense at all,” he said. “That’s a fact.”
Here’s the Wallace clip:
